Tony Pallante, Co-Founder/Managing Director – EquiCap, Inc.

Tony Pallante is a co-founder and Managing Director of EquiCap, Inc. and responsible for day-to-day operations and strategy for the company’s origination channels including EquiCap Preferred Mortgage Fund, LLC. Mr. Pallante is a 28-year financial services industry executive with a demonstrated history of spearheading the creation and execution of business plans in mortgage banking, unsecured and credit card lending. Mr. Pallante formed Performance Capital® in 1999. His company has been providing management consulting services to leading financial services companies leveraging his strategic and analytical capabilities to evaluate and apply emerging technologies to facilitate growth and profitability objectives. He is highly regarded for his unique blend of innovation, foresight and ability to successfully promote the adoption of strategic ideas and in implementing focused organizational execution.

Mr. Pallante’s experience includes various senior and C-level executive roles at MBNA America, Avondale Federal Savings Bank including 14 years at Household Financial Services.

Michael Petree, Co-Founder/Managing Director – EquiCap, Inc.

Michael Petree is a co-founder and Managing Director of EquiCap, Inc. and responsible for day-to-day operations and strategy for the company’s origination channels including EquiCap Preferred Mortgage Fund, LLC. Mr. Petree is a 26-year mortgage industry veteran with a history of rapidly growing firms by positioning them as leading providers of innovative mortgage products, backed by best-in-class customer service. Over the past two years, Mr. Petree has consulted for some of the largest mortgage originators, hedge funds and investment firms in the U.S. in helping them evaluate their new strategic opportunities since the credit crisis began.

Prior to EquiCap, Mr. Petree was the president of NationPoint where he grew the company to more than 450 employees producing over $1.8 billion in annual production and the 10th largest online mortgage retailer in the U.S. While here, he focused on developing the company into a leading consumer advocate with a strong focus on long-term relationships with real estate professionals and their clients.

Mr. Petree is a recognized leader in the financial services industry having served as a member of the executive team at First Franklin Financial Corporation and a member of its board of directors. He served two years on the Mortgage Bankers Association’s MISMO board which helped create the industry’s data standards. Before joining NationPoint, Mr. Petree also founded and successfully sold two mortgage banking firms: ACG Financial Services, a Dallas-based mortgage bank and Finance West Corporation, a Los Angeles-based mortgage bank. In 2001 he led Hybrid, a Dallas-based software services firm through several capital rounds and ultimately a sale to a private equity firm.
